Both officials stressed the need to heed signs on closed roads. You may notice some vehicles traveling on closed roads as part of the recovery effort. Please do not follow any of these vehicles into the work area. The roads are NOT open and you’re putting your life and the lives of the workers in danger.

Mark Lowe, Director of the Iowa DOT went over a roadway damage assessment map and status of repairs map with those in attendance. Those maps are linked here and can also be found at https://floods2019.iowa.gov/traveler.aspx along with Lowe’s presentation.
