AMES, Iowa – March 7, 2019 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, March 21 to discuss the proposed improvements to U.S. 52/Iowa 3 from seven-tenths of a mile north of Boy Scout Road to the east junction of Pfeiler Road near Rickardsville, in Dubuque County. The proposed improvements include the two-lane reconstruction of U.S. 52/Iowa 3 with the addition of 6-foot paved shoulders to allow for improved ride quality, long-term maintenance, and improved safety.

Traffic would be detoured during construction using U.S. 20 and Iowa 136.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 20249 St. Joseph’s Drive, in Rickardsville. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
