NOTICE Act 2021-297 Removal of Certain Police Jurisdiction License, Taxes and Fees

TO: ALL PERSONS, FIRMS, AND CORPORATIONS conducting business in the police jurisdictions for the following municipalities:

The above listed municipalities failed to file an annual report required by §11-51-91(c), Ala. Code 1975. Therefore, all municipalities listed above are statutorily prohibited from collecting any license revenue, taxes, or fees in their respective police jurisdictions. This prohibition is effective as of June 1, 2023, which is 60 days from the date the Alabama Department of Revenue was provided notice of the rate change due to the failure to file the annual report.
