Newark — The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) advises motorists that there will be OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF SOUTHBOUND I-95 at the Route 896 Interchange to install steel bridge girders. To avoid delays on the detour routes through Newark, southbound I-95 motorists are encouraged to use Route 1 to US 40 to access southbound Southbound Route 896 and Route 273 to Route 4 to continue to the southbound I-95 detour.
