State-Issued Identification Cards Now Valid for Eight (8) Years

The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles will soon be implementing new validation guidelines for state-issued identification cards, beginning Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Per the Governor’s recent signing of HB 78, effective Wednesday, June 9, 2021, all state-issued identification cards will have a fee of $40.00 and remain valid for a period of eight (8) years. Previously, the fee was $20.00 and valid for a four (4) year period. [More]
