Transfer of jurisdiction approved
The Commission approved the transfer of jurisdiction of frontage roads adjacent to Interstate 80 to the city of West Des Moines in Dallas County. The transfer segments lie within the corporation limits of the city of West Des Moines located adjacent to I-80 at the Ashworth Road overpass. Segments totaling approximately 1.03 miles in length will be transferred to the city. The road segments will be transferred in their present condition. Following the transfer of jurisdiction, the city is responsible for all future maintenance and improvement of that roadway and right of way.
