Happy New Year! Now that we have officially rang in 2018, it’s time to get to business. The start of a new year signifies a new start, a chance to make changes. For us, that means adhering to the new laws that go into effect this year. We want you to stay informed as some of these laws may affect you or your loved ones.
Applying for a Disabled Person Parking Placard or Plate for the first time? Starting January 1, 2018, you’re going to need additional documents that provide proof of full true name and birthdate to go with your application. Those requiring multiple placard replacements or in need of placard renewals will also be subject to a new process. Do you rideshare often? By law, your driver by hire cannot have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.04 percent or more when transporting you or anyone else. Rideshare drivers will be subject to a suspended driver license and a mark on their record if caught with a higher than legal BAC.
