Transportation Officials Planning For Heavy Traffic This Upcoming Holiday Weekend by
Dover — The Delaware Department of Transportation announces that it will be working in various venues this July 4th weekend to ensure safe and convenient travel for motorists on the state’s roadways. Whether it be monitoring cameras for the state’s Transportation Management Center (TMC), communicating via radio from trucks strategically placed on major north-south routes, or working with local police agencies in response to incidents, DelDOT will be out on the roadways. Two dozen Summer Traffic Patrol units will be available to assist motorists with any incident that could cause traffic delays (accidents, breakdowns, traffic backups, etc.) beginning Thursday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 6.
