Dover — The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) wishes to make Delaware motorists aware of a new driving regulation that was signed into law last month. House Bill 63 which is an amendment to Title 21 of the Delaware Code, prohibits minor drivers on a Level 1 Learner’s Permit under the Graduated Driver’s License (GDL) system, or on a Driver’s Education Learner’s Permit from using a cell phone or similar devices while operating a motor vehicle. A conviction for violating this law will result in a one (1) month driver license suspension for a first offense and a three (3) month suspension for each subsequent offense. [More]
