Vehicle Emissions Testing Software Fix Complete by
Dover — The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today that it has identified and corrected a minor software problem that affected a small and specific group of 1995 and older vehicles tested at certain stations between February 27, 2004 and April 14, 2004. These vehicles may have incorrectly failed their vehicle emissions tests for hydrocarbons. The issue occurred during a phased-in software upgrade at various DMV Inspection lanes at different times throughout the program, and was discovered during proactive and ongoing audits of the system.
