Seasonal Closure Schedule for the Division of Motor Vehicles Offices by
Dover — The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) would like to announce the following dates that its offices will be closed during the month of November and December:
Tuesday, November 4, Election Day
Thursday, November 6, Return Day (after 12:00 noon Sussex County DMV Only)
Tuesday, November 11, Veterans Day
Thursday, November 27, Thanksgiving
Friday, November 28, day after Thanksgiving
Thursday, December 25, Christmas Day
Thursday January 1, 2009, New Years Day
Motor Vehicle Offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, the day before Thanksgiving; Wednesday, December 24, Christmas Eve; and Wednesday, December 31, New Years Eve. The Division of Motor Vehicles encourages all customers to come to DMV for renewals prior to these dates because of the shortened days of operations.
