AMES, Iowa – February 13, 2020 – The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input on the proposed bridge replacement on U.S. 30 over the Cedar River, 0.5 miles west of the east junction of U.S. 151 in Linn County. The proposed project provides for removing the existing 1,134 foot by 28 foot steel bridge and replacing it with a pretensioned prestressed concrete beam bridge that is 1,134 feet by 40 feet.

During construction the eastbound lanes will be closed and traffic will be maintained on the westbound lanes through the use of median crossovers.
