AMES, Iowa – July 10, 2018 – The Iowa Transportation Commission today approved more than $11.5 million in funding for 99 new rural and urban public transit vehicles that will replace vehicles past their useful life. Funds are granted through the Federal Transit Administration’s Bus and Bus Facilities Formula and Discretionary Programs as well as the Federal Highway Administration’s Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Program.
