Take the Train and Celebrate Cheerwine’s 100th Anniversary by
RALEIGH — Get ready to celebrate an iconic, North Carolina staple. Fans of Cheerwine are invited to sit back, relax, and take NC By Train to Salisbury for the soft drink’s 100th anniversary celebration. Cheerwine’s Centennial Celebration will take place from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, in downtown Salisbury on North Main Street. The free event will celebrate “all things Carolina” with a North Carolina barbecue competition, local food, independent bands and more. The train station is just steps away from the festival, and riders can hop on board at any of the following stops: Charlotte, Kannapolis, High Point, Greensboro, Burlington, Durham, Cary and Raleigh.
