Federal Department of Homeland Security Confirms Dates of Compliant Enforcement for REAL ID Act by
Dover — The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has received confirmation from the federal Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that the schedule for the phased enforcement of the REAL ID Act of 2005 has been announced. Additionally, DHS has officially provided the DMV with recognition for being compliant with the REAL ID Act, therefore allowing Federal agencies to continue to accept Delaware driver licenses and identification cards for official purposes. The phased enforcement plan of the REAL ID Act will allow the Federal Government to implement the Act in a measured, fair, and responsible way. [More]
