THP Names New Fall Branch District Captain

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Highway Patrol today announced the promotion of Stephen M. Street to Captain of the agency’s Fall Branch District effective July 1. Street previously served as the District’s Administrative Lieutenant and replaces Danny Talley, who was recently appointed to Major of the Administrative Bureau in Nashville. Carter County, Street has served as Administrative Lieutenant since 2010. Prior to serving in that capacity, Street held positions as Special Programs Lieutenant over the Fall Branch District and Troop Lieutenant in Sullivan County. He has also served as Patrol Sergeant in both Carter and Sullivan Counties.    11.0pt”> He also brings extensive specialized training to his new role as Captain of the 13-county Fall Branch District. The East Tennessee State University alumnus has instructed field training officers, taught management training for supervisors, and was a Drug Abuse Resistance Educator (D.A.R.E.) instructor. Street is also skilled as a child restraint device technician, advanced accident investigation and as a radar instructor.   “I am confident that his experience and varied backgrounds will be a tremendous asset to our agency, and his leadership will maintain the level of professionalism garnered throughout the Fall Branch District.”   11.0pt”>
